(NEWS10) -- In an announcement at New York's first-ever Unity Summit, $25M has been made available through the FY 2024 budget to support organizations serving communities at a higher risk of hate crimes and vandalism. Police announced the arrest of Darion Benton, 33, one day after reporting the arrest of Amber Booker, 33. Both are accused in a shooting Saturday evening as a Cinco de Mayo festival was wrapping up for the day. Photos shared by police Monday in connection with the case showed two people, presumed to be Benton and Booker, holding weapons around the time of gunfire. Nakeita Campbell, 21, was last seen in Downtown St. Louis around two weeks ago on April 28. Her family members contacted the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department on Tuesday to report her disappearance. Crime ring based in St. Charles targeted small towns SLMPD days that Campbell left her home in Maplewood, Minnesota on April 1, and she likely came to St. Louis to stay with a man she met online. Police say Campbell has a disability that makes her vulnerable. She also does not have a phone.
