Kahleah Copper is now the lone remaining starter from that team as Candace Parker, Courtney Vandersloot, Azura Stevens and Allie Quigley are no longer with Chicago.Copper has embraced the challenge of her leadership role, getting off to a strong start this year in helping the Sky win four of their first seven games. She's averaging a career-best 17.1 points and 5.9 rebounds. Copper helped the team pull off a stunning 19-point comeback against the New York Liberty on Sunday, scoring 17 of her 27 points in the third quarter to fuel the rally. She's gotten some help with the offseason additions this year of Courtney Williams, Marina Mabrey and Elizabeth Williams.‘‘When the moment comes, I’m ready and I’m built for it,’’ Copper said. ‘‘But I have teammates around me, so I don’t have to do it by myself.’’Whil...

Grimace has inspired a new McDonald's meal

Published Tue, 04 Mar 2025 08:46:06 GMT

(NEXSTAR) – Twitter users who follow the official McDonald’s account were greeted to a nostalgic sight on Monday: the large purple face of Grimace — bug-eyed and nearly expressionless — staring directly back at them.McDonald’s ultimately revealed that Grimace is back to promote its upcoming “Grimace Birthday Meal,” which comes complete with a brand-new (and very purple) berry-vanilla shake. There’s just one thing McDonald’s declined to fully explain: Just what the heck are we looking at, here?Grimace, by McDonald’s own admission, is an “ambiguous” blob of a mascot. Introduced in 1971 as “Evil Grimace,” the character was first depicted as a villain — with four arms — who was singularly focused on stealing McDonald’s milkshakes, as seen in early TV commercials.Over the years, Grimace eventually lost his mad lust for milkshakes (and two of his arms) and became best buds with Ronald McDonald. The original Taco Bell menu had only five items, and one was a burger But Grimace wa...
