A fatal rollover crash early Thursday forced road closures for several hours near South Tower Road and East Kansas Place in Aurora, authorities said.This single-vehicle crash happened around 2:41 a.m., according to an Aurora Police posting on Twitter. Northbound and eastbound lanes were closed.Police said the crash was fatal. An investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed while driving in Gardena Thursday morning. The shooting occurred around 12:13 a.m. in the 100 block of West Redondo Beach Boulevard, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department stated in a news release.Authorities investigate a fatal shooting in Gardena on Aug. 3, 2023. (KTLA)Deputies responded to find a 40-to-45-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his lower torso. The westbound 101 Freeway remains closed in Agoura Hills Thursday morning, hours after a pair of crashes involving two semi trucks, at least one of which jackknifed, blocking the roadway. The closure began shortly after 1:10 a.m., when two big rigs and a third vehicle collided on the freeway west of Chesebro Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.The SigAlert will remain in place "until further notice," the CHP added. The York Fire – already California’s largest fire of the year – has burned more than 82,000 acres as of Wednesday morning, fire officials said.
